Job summary

IBM is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to help customers optimize Confluent deployments and resolve critical issues. You will work across engineering and services, applying expertise in Kafka, Confluent Platform, and related systems to ensure successful outcomes.

You will diagnose and reproduce complex issues, communicate with customers, and contribute to knowledge bases and documentation. This remote role targets US-based candidates with a passion for learning and customer success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Strong interest in streaming data and Kafka.
• Experience diagnosing and resolving customer issues.
• Experience with Linux, Java, and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Resolve issues in Confluent deployments for customers.
• Contribute to process development and team growth.
• Provide real-time product feedback to engineering.
• Improve product documentation and knowledge base articles.
• Create and review product demos and internal tooling.
• Collaborate with the Kafka engineering team.
