Job summary

BookNook is seeking tutors to deliver virtual math instruction using provided lesson content across the US. Sessions are 30 minutes, most often 4:00 PM–7:00 PM ET, with 1099-eligible contractor status and a pay rate of $20 per hour.

Tutors set their own schedules, aiming to attend at least 80% of claimed sessions. Applicants should have classroom or tutoring experience, a college degree preferred, and reliable internet from within the 50 states or DC.

Qualifications

• Experience in classroom teaching or tutoring, online instruction preferred.
• Ability to deliver pre-designed math lessons and provide targeted support.

• Reliable, high-speed internet and a distraction-free workspace.

Responsibilities

• Provide tutoring in a virtual classroom using pre-provided lesson content.
• Maintain student engagement and guide with supportive corrections.
• Offer practice time and corrections to reinforce learning objectives.
• Adhere to the school-year schedule (Sept–May) with 30-minute sessions.
• Attend sessions and claim slots within availability; back-up coverage as needed.
