Job summary

RCM Health Care is seeking a Virtual School Mental Health Counselor to support students in a virtual Arizona school. The role involves providing psychotherapy and individual services, with a focus on stabilizing mental health needs within school and community settings.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree with mental health license preferred or School Social Worker License.
• Must have Board license or DOE certification.
• Knowledge of mental health diagnoses, symptomatology and treatment for K-12 students.
• Experience with behaviorally/emotionally challenged children (K-12).
• Knowledge of trauma-informed psychotherapeutic practices.
• Communicate effectively—verbal and written.
• Coordinate and complete the mental health assessment virtually.

Responsibilities

• Provide Psychotherapy or Therapeutic Behavior Services to facilitate client stabilization.
• Provide individual services.
• Work collaboratively with school personnel to integrate education and mental health services within an ecologically based model.
