Qualifications

• Active Oregon teaching license with endorsements in assigned subjects.
• Valid driver's license, vehicle, and insurance.
• Prior teaching experience in K-12 preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain effective environments for student learning.
• Use instructional strategies supported by research and engage all students in learning.
• Implement and enhance the school's assessment agenda.
• Understand and organize subject matter for student learning.
• Access and maintain the school's Student Information System.
• Provide weekly and periodic reports on student progress and work completed to administrator.
• Assess and plan for student learning.
• Grow in professional practice.
• Effectively communicate with parents, students, and staff.
• Maintain acceptable student behavior.
• Use appropriate assessment, instruction, and evaluation techniques.
• Utilize practices to build a community of learners.
• Understand child development and apply it to curriculum and teaching.
• Meet diverse needs of students.
• Demonstrate knowledge of curriculum and resources.
• Utilize technology to aid instruction and meet school requirements.
• Design and monitor a continuing professional growth plan.
• Come prepared daily to support the school's mission.
