Job summary

ARTISAN is seeking a Junior Video Editor for a freelance, remote role to support the post-production team. The position focuses on ingesting and organizing raw footage, pulling clean selects, and applying basic color grades to ready assets for delivery into the DAM.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a structured media pipeline, with experience in common editing software and a non-creative, technical workflow.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Junior Video Editor, DIT, or Assistant Editor.
• Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar).
• Strong technical/organizational skills for managing large volumes of footage and a structured intake process.
• Comfort with a technical, non-creative workflow.

Responsibilities

• Ingest and organize raw footage as part of the post-production media intake and prep pipeline
• Pull clean selects from raw footage (no creative narrative cuts)
• Apply basic color grades to selected footage
• Deliver organized, properly labeled assets ready for deployment to the DAM
• Collaborate with the team via virtual meetings to align on project goals and updates
