Job summary

Brim Financial is a fintech redefining how credit card and payments platforms operate. You will build and maintain services and RESTful APIs powering card programs and rewards, working end-to-end across the full stack in a remote-first setting.

You’ll collaborate with senior engineers, learn the business domain of cards and payments, and contribute to production systems with modern tooling. This role offers mentorship, growth toward mid-level responsibilities, and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of hands-on development experience (internships, co-ops, personal projects count).
• Solid understanding of SQL and RESTful API design.
• Problem-solving mindset and curiosity about how things work under the hood.
• Willingness to learn the business domain of credit cards and payments.
• Strong written communication for async collaboration across time zones.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while staying connected to the team.
• Comfort with picking up any required technology to solve the problem.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain services and RESTful APIs powering our credit card and payments platform.
• Work across the full stack from backend services to interfaces used by partners and internal teams.
• Engage with MySQL databases, JSON structures, and third-party API integrations within banking networks.
