Job summary

Infera Health is seeking a software engineer who writes production code and owns test infrastructure from day one. You’ll ship UI components, API endpoints, and features, while building robust test suites across a React frontend and Python backend.

You’ll work with senior engineers, participate in end-to-end testing, and grow into a full SWE role. This remote-first position favors candidates in LA or NY but is open to the broader US. Competitive salary and meaningful equity offered.

Qualifications

• ,1–3 years of software development and testing experience.
• Deep experience with E2E tests using Playwright.
• Strong fundamentals in TS/JS and Python.
• Interest in shipping features and improving test infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Ship real product code — UI components, API endpoints, and features — with senior engineers.
• Build and maintain test suites (unit, integration, end-to-end) for React frontend and Python backend.
• Own test infrastructure and CI: fixtures, test data, flaky-test triage, pipelines.
• Build internal tooling to speed the team.
• Review code and participate in quick feedback cycles.
• Take on increasing ownership from feature hardening to end-to-end ownership.
