Job summary

EXL Service is hiring a Junior Software Developer for remote work across the United States. This entry-level role supports client engagements in the Insurance domain, focusing on application development and production support with guidance from onshore/offshore teams.

The position offers exposure to Agile practices and enterprise systems, with a required two-week on-site training at the Indianapolis Office.

Qualifications

• Fundamental programming and debugging skills in .NET or Java
• Familiarity with databases and SQL basics
• Willingness to learn and adapt in client projects

Responsibilities

• Participate in Agile Scrum meetings and sprint activities
• Assist in diagnosing and resolving application and system issues
• Support incident reviews and documentation
• Assist with sprint and release deliveries
• Work with onshore and offshore teams
• Provide application and technical production support
• Support automation and process improvement initiatives
• Assist with application upgrades and releases
• Learn and follow compliance and development standards

Skills

Basic knowledge of C# or COBOL

Exposure to .NET, ASP.NET, REST/SOAP,

Basic SQL and relational database

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field
