Job summary

Highland Electric Fleets is seeking a Project Development Associate I, a remote role based in California with about 20% travel. You will help develop and plan projects for contract execution, coordinating with Legal, Finance, and Market Development to meet underwriting requirements and deliverables.

As you grow, you’ll assume more independent project development responsibilities, working with Senior Associates and the commercial team to advance deals and handoffs to Customer Success and Project

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years directly related experience.
• Experience in project development for energy infrastructure is a plus.
• Familiarity with interconnection and permitting processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support development of fleet electrification projects with timelines and budgets.
• Coordinate with engineering to develop EV charging depot designs including solar and storage.
• Estimate costs for engineering, construction, and interconnection for budgets.
• Manage site diligence, permitting, and utility coordination.
• Assist in handoff to project execution and customer teams.
