LMI is seeking a Junior Power BI Developer to support the VA, VHA contract. You will contribute to the development, maintenance, and documentation of Power BI dashboards and reports that communicate training burden, workforce development metrics, and program performance insights to VA stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in data analytics, information systems, computer science, or related field.
• 1-3 years of experience with Power BI, including dashboard development and basic data modeling.
• Foundational knowledge of DAX and Power Query.
• Understanding of data visualization best practices and effective communication of analytical findings.
• Ability to learn and apply federal data governance, reporting standards, and accessibility requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality analytical outputs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for training and workforce metrics.
• Create intuitive data visualizations applying best practices for UX and readability.
• Write basic DAX calculations to support reporting requirements and ensure accurate metrics.
• Work from established semantic models and data structures, applying appropriate filtering and relationships.
• Follow standardized Power BI templates, conventions, and branding across reports.
• Publish updates, manage versioning, and document dashboards.
• Ensure dashboards meet Section 508 accessibility standards and support paginated reports as needed.
• Participate in requirements discussions with stakeholders to translate needs into technical specs.
• Conduct data quality checks and validation to ensure accuracy.
