Savance in Commerce Township, MI, is seeking a junior to mid-level software engineer who loves solving problems and turning ideas into real software. If you code for fun and enjoy building robust applications, you’re the right fit.

You will work independently within a small, collaborative team across the full software development lifecycle, from design to deployment, building Savance Workplace solutions. Remote work is available; strong English and a portfolio are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or CS, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of development with C#, WinForms or WPF, OOP, and multithreading.
• 3+ years with SQL Server and database design.
• 3+ years with ASP.Net, Angular, Web API, Restful services.
• 3+ years with Git and Azure DevOps.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Portfolio showing proficiency with SQL Server and VB/C#/ASP.Net.
• Mobile experience is a plus.
• Experience in tech support or similar role is a plus.
• Experience across cradle-to-grave development of critical business software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Actively participating in the software development lifecycle from requirements to deployment.
• Research software issues by examining code and assisting team members/customers to resolve issues.
• Create plans to address defects after gathering information from support and customers.
• Gather requirements with team and customer to ensure design meets those requirements.
• Work with customers and product/engineering teams to design solutions.
• Assist in estimation and planning of software development tasks.
• Work on multiple projects while prioritizing key tasks.
• Write or refine technical documentation for customers and developers.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices and emerging technologies.
