HiredBuddy, a US-based AI data annotation company, seeks a Junior JavaScript Developer to review, annotate, and author JavaScript/TypeScript samples for AI training datasets. You will help teach models to write clean, secure, and efficient JavaScript code through RLHF and code evaluation tasks.

The role emphasizes code evaluation, ground-truth solution writing, bug fixing, and following strict quality guidelines, with a flexible remote work setup and opportunities to grow in AI data engineering.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of JavaScript/TypeScript experience
• Strong understanding of modern JavaScript (ES6+), async programming, and DOM manipulation
• Familiarity with Node.js, Express, React, or testing frameworks
• Ability to write clean, well-commented code and explain concepts clearly
• Attention to edge cases and debugging

Responsibilities

• AI Code Evaluation & Ranking: Review AI-generated JavaScript/TypeScript code snippets, evaluate correctness, performance, and readability, and rank competing model responses.
• Code Prompt Authoring: Write clean, bug-free reference code solutions, unit tests, and technical explanations for high-quality training data.
• Bug Fixing & Refactoring: Identify syntax errors, logic flaws, and security vulnerabilities in code, and provide corrected versions.
• Guideline & Quality Compliance: Follow annotation guidelines to ensure data meets accuracy and quality standards.
• Feedback & Collaboration: Work with AI leads to refine code quality benchmarks and handle edge cases.
