Job summary

GuruSchools LLP is seeking a Junior Business Analyst for a remote, full-time position in the United States. The role targets recent graduates with 0-2 years of experience and focuses on gathering requirements, documenting BRDs/FRDs, and supporting project delivery.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, project managers, developers, and QA teams, developing practical skills in data analysis, process improvement, and business reporting while participating in Agile ceremonies and remote teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in a related field.
• Basic understanding of business analysis principles and SDLC.
• Familiarity with requirement gathering, documentation and process analysis.
• Understanding of BRDs/FRDs, user stories, use cases and acceptance criteria is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of Agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with Jira/Confluence/Microsoft Visio or similar tools.
• Basic analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Good verbal and written communication, able to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Willingness to learn new tools and techniques and work in a remote team.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders.
• Conduct requirement gathering sessions with business teams.
• Translate business needs into functional requirements and specifications.
• Prepare BRDs, FRDs, and project documentation.
• Create user stories, acceptance criteria, and use cases.
• Analyze business processes and identify improvement opportunities.
• Develop process flowcharts and process documentation.
• Collaborate with project managers, developers, QA, and stakeholders.
• Support UAT with test scenarios and feedback coordination.
• Track requirements, risks, and change requests.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies as needed.
• Maintain traceability and up-to-date documentation.
• Communicate progress through status reports.
