Job Title: Remote Junior Bookkeeper(100% Work From Home)
Location: Remote from Latin America
Position Type: Full-time
Salary:$1,000 USD/month paid via Wise
Schedule: Monday to Friday, business hours Eastern Time

Job Overview:

We're looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join their remote team. This role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of their daily financial operations, directly supporting our accounting department and contributing to their continued growth, especially as they expand into the US. This position is initially for maternity leave coverage (approx. 3 months) with a strong potential to become a permanent full-time role.

Responsibilities:
  • Meticulously reconcile various financial documentation, including invoices, bank statements, sales records, payments, and expense reports.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records exclusively within QuickBooks, taking full ownership of the company's bookkeeping in the platform.
  • Utilize and maintain other essential tools such as Dext, Excel, and Google Sheets for efficient data management.
  • Generate comprehensive payment lists, ensuring all necessary documentation is prepared for timely processing by the senior accountant.
  • Proactively manage and maintain our online financial systems, including ERP functionalities such as requesting and managing invoices/bills, performing bank reconciliations, and conducting various accounts reconciliations.
  • Ensure all financial systems are well-organized, online, and readily accessible, facilitating efficient processing of bank transfers, financial analysis, and reporting.

Qualifications, Skills and Key Competencies:

  • Medium level of proficiency in QuickBooks, including the ability to generate various financial reports.
  • Strong experience with Dext, Excel, and Google Sheets.
  • Fluent in Spanish & English (written and verbal); English to effectively communicate with the Canadian-based team and international partners.
  • Proven ability to be highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Possesses an "AI-oriented" mindset, with an interest in learning and leveraging AI tools (like ChatGPT/Gemini) to enhance productivity.
  • Must have their own reliable computer and stable internet connection suitable for remote work.
  • An Accounting degree or currently in the final years of an Accounting program is highly preferred.
