DSPolitical is seeking a Junior Accountant to support daily financial processes and basic accounting tasks. This entry-level position provides exposure to multiple areas of accounting while developing fundamental technical and professional skills.

The role offers a remote-friendly, hybrid work model with standard hours, and opportunities to gain experience in month-end close, payroll, audits, and expense reporting within a dynamic political advertising agency.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist with AP/AR processing, including invoice entry, vendor payments, and client receipts.
• Record financial transactions accurately in the accounting system.
• Assist with month-end close tasks under supervision.
• Maintain organized financial files and supporting documentation.
• Respond to internal inquiries related to invoices, payments, and receipts.
• Support payroll processing by collecting timesheets and validating data.
• Assist with audits by providing requested documentation.
• Expense reports completed accurately and submitted timely.
• Communicates clearly and effectively in written or oral form with colleagues.
• Seeks guidance when needed to ensure accuracy.
• Manages individual tasks with oversight and guidance.
• Meets internal deadlines and escalates challenges promptly.
• Demonstrates developing awareness of timelines and deliverables.
• Perform other administrative and financial duties as assigned.
