Job summary

Simera is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support daily accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will understand accounting principles, have strong analytical skills, and assist with transactions, reconciliations, reporting, and general accounting activities.

The role involves processing invoices, AP/AR tasks, month-end closings, and collaboration with internal teams.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and financial processes.
• Experience with invoices, reconciliations, and financial records.
• Familiarity with accounts payable/receivable and general ledger tasks.

Responsibilities

• Record and process daily financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Prepare, review, and process invoices, expenses, payments, and receipts.
• Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate and organized accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Review financial transactions for accuracy and proper classification.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Prepare financial reports and summaries as required.
• Monitor outstanding invoices, payments, and balances.
• Research discrepancies and resolve issues.
• Assist with journal entries and general ledger maintenance.
• Support preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Assist with audits by gathering and organizing documentation.
• Ensure activities follow policies and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality and collaborate with teams.
• Support process improvements and projects.
