Job summary

Outlier is seeking QA Coders to help train AI models by reviewing AI-generated code and providing structured feedback. This freelance role is a 1099 contract with flexible hours up to 40 per week and pay up to $34 per hour. No AI experience required, but strong CS background and English proficiency are essential.

Youll rate model responses, identify errors, and craft clear programming prompts to advance code generation capabilities. Remote work from multiple countries is supported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from a selective institution.
• Software engineering experience contributing to a live production codebase.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Excellent attention to detail in grammar, punctuation, and style.

Responsibilities

• Review AI-generated code and flag issues using structured guidelines.
• Rate and rank model responses across key dimensions (accuracy, instruction following, presentation).
• Write clear, well-structured prompts to challenge AI models.
