Tutor Me LA LLC connects qualified educators with families and school districts nationwide to provide virtual instruction in JMP statistics and applied statistics. Tutors create customized lesson plans to fit each learner’s goals, adjust instruction in real time, and support coursework, research, or upskilling from home.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree, have experience working with students, and possess strong virtual teaching skills.

Job description

What you’ll do

Deliver engaging, individualized virtual instruction in JMP statistical software and applied statistics concepts
Create structured lesson plans tailored to each learner’s academic, research, or professional goals
Adapt instruction in real time based on learner questions, project needs, and skill level
Assist learners with coursework, research projects, manufacturing/process analytics, or professional upskilling
Track learner progress and communicate effectively with students and, where applicable, academic or corporate partners

Preferred qualifications

Strong working knowledge of JMP statistical software
Background in statistics, engineering, data analytics, manufacturing, quality engineering, Six Sigma, or related fields
Experience teaching, tutoring, training, or mentoring preferred
Familiarity with DOE, SPC, process optimization, or applied industrial statistics is a strong plus
Excellent communication and virtual instruction skills
