Job summary

Concept Solutions, LLC (CS) is seeking a Java Software Engineer to support a DoD modernization program. Remote work available with a base salary of $130,000–$150,000 depending on experience and an active DoD Secret clearance is required.

The role involves maintaining Java/Spring Boot applications, documenting legacy capabilities, and ensuring stability during the modernization effort. Responsibilities include troubleshooting defects, deploying patches per release schedules, and reviewing

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with Java, Spring Boot, and SQL.
• Demonstrated ability to understand, troubleshoot, and modify existing code safely.
• Active Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve defects in Java Spring Boot applications.
• Develop and implement patches in accordance with the customer's release schedule.
• Maintain existing applications while supporting the modernization effort.
• Ensure stability of legacy applications during retirement and document capabilities for the successor system.
• Review, understand, and safely modify unfamiliar codebases.
