Job summary

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc. (SGA) is seeking a Remote Java/Node/OpenShift DevOps Developer for a contract assignment with a Healthcare Services client in Jacksonville, FL. (Remote with occasional onsite visits maybe quarterly)

Responsibilities include development across Java, OpenShift, and NodeJS; participation in the software development lifecycle; release management; on-call support; IT controls; disaster recovery; and collaboration with third-party partners as needed.

Qualifications

Domain experience in Health Care or Financial sectors.
Experience with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
Experience with mobile design (native and mobile web) a plus.
Experience with Foundation a plus.
Experience with web accessibility guidelines and requirements a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop, program, and code IT solutions using Java, OpenShift and NodeJS to enable healthcare applications.
Engage in all phases of the software development lifecycle and respond to outages.
Document detailed system specifications and participate in performance testing and maintenance.
Interact with clients and third-party partners to refine, test, and debug programs.
Implement IT controls to protect confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
Manage production and non-production infrastructure (Windows patching, certificate updates, password rotation).
Support EVMP, JIVA and Care application release management (BART, Jenkins, OpenShift).
Handle critical data loads and production monitoring/alert response.
Provide disaster recovery and business continuity support; 24/7 on-call.
Assist audit and compliance activities (SOC2, IA, High Trust) and upgrade InterQual/Episode systems.
