TEEMA seeks an Intermediate to Senior Java Implementation Engineer for its healthcare technology team. This hands-on, client-facing role combines strong Java development with healthcare interoperability experience and leadership in technical implementations.

We are seeking an Intermediate to Senior Java Implementation Engineer to join a growing healthcare technology team. This is a hands-on, client-facing technical role for someone who combines strong Java development skills with healthcare interoperability experience and the ability to lead technical implementations.

You'll work directly with customers and internal engineering, product, architecture, and support teams to design, configure, troubleshoot, and deliver scalable healthcare technology solutions.

What You'll Do

• Partner directly with customers throughout technical implementation projects
• Configure platforms, develop scripts, troubleshoot issues, and design technical solutions
• Provide technical and architectural guidance during implementations
• Work with healthcare interoperability standards including HL7 v2 and/or FHIR
• Collaborate with engineering, product, solution architecture, implementation, and support teams
• Troubleshoot complex application, integration, and implementation issues
• Balance multiple customer projects and technical priorities simultaneously
• Provide technical guidance and support to other team members
• Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation as needed
• Support technical responses for RFIs and RFPs
• Stay current with healthcare technology, interoperability standards, and industry best practices

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of professional Java development experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring, REST, SQL, and Git
• 3+ years designing, developing, and delivering software solutions
• Professional experience with HL7 v2 and/or FHIR
• Experience working within healthcare technology or healthcare systems
• Experience delivering or implementing software solutions for customers
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Confidence working directly with customers and leading technical discussions
• Ability to explain technical decisions and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities

• CCDA experience
• Kubernetes and Docker

• Experience with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or iterative delivery methodologies
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Health Informatics, or a related field

Compensation

$90,000-$135,000 annually upon conversion to permanent employment, depending on experience and seniority.

This opportunity will begin as a W2 or 1099 contract with the expectation of converting to a permanent position.
