Job summary

Zones, LLC is seeking a Computer Systems Analyst with a focus on eCommerce to design, build, and maintain enterprise Java systems supporting web platforms, payments, and internal APIs. The role also involves building AI-based analysis tools that process transactional data.

The position requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science and hands-on experience with Java ecosystems, cloud platforms, and secure payment processing. A remote-friendly environment is available in the United States.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science.
• 2 years of experience in systems analysis and software development.
• Experience with Java, Spring/Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, RESTful/SOAP API design, relational and NoSQL databases, and Git.
• Experience with web-based payment processing and PCI DSS compliance.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) and Docker/Kubernetes.
• Experience with distributed systems, CI/CD tooling.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business and technical requirements for the company's eCommerce systems and design, develop, and maintain server-side Java applications and services using Java SE/EE, Spring, and Spring Boot.
• Evaluate and enhance Java-based web applications, including front-end integration, servlets, and MVC frameworks, for performance and scalability.
• Analyze and tune the Java infrastructure, coordinate integration with enterprise infrastructure, and assess distributed computing trade-offs.
• Develop, secure, and integrate web payment-processing functionality with gateways/processors and PCI DSS compliance.
• Design, build, and document RESTful and SOAP APIs for internal and partner consumption with authentication and versioning.
• Develop AI-based analysis tools using ML techniques to extract insights from operational and payments data.
• Participate in documentation, code reviews, testing, CI/CD maintenance, and Agile ceremonies.
