Job summary

AutoZone seeks an experienced Systems Engineer to join our eCommerce B2B team supporting AutoZonePro.com and our Mobile Apps. The role focuses on software development, production operations, capacity planning, and performance management.

Responsibilities include designing, testing, deploying, and supporting software; using Java, Spring Boot, GitLab CI/CD; and leveraging Google Cloud Platform for cloud-based solutions. Leadership and collaboration with IT and business partners are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or MS in Computer Science, MIS, or closely related field.
5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer or similar with a strong software development background.
Experience in Java, Spring Boot, and RDBMS is a must.
Experience designing/developing high-volume 24/7 customer-facing applications.
Experience with APIGEE and Google Cloud Platform is a plus.

Responsibilities

Design, create, test, deploy, and support software applications through the SDLC.
Use Java, Spring Boot, and GitLab CI/CD to develop and deploy software.
Troubleshoot production issues spanning applications and infrastructure.
Collaborate with IT teams and business partners to address problems and requirements.
Mentor junior developers and participate in high-level design sessions.
