Job summary

NTT DATA's Client is seeking a Java Developer to join their Irving, TX team, focusing on backend Java development. You will design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications, using Spring/Spring Boot to build scalable services and RESTful APIs.

Responsibilities include DB querying, code reviews, and ensuring secure coding practices in an Agile environment. The role requires strong Java skills, Spring experience, and familiarity with SQL databases, Hibernate/JPA, and Git.

Qualifications

• Strong Java 8+ proficiency.
• Spring Framework / Spring Boot experience.
• OO, data structures, and design patterns.
• Experience with RESTful web services.
• SQL and relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
• Hibernate / JPA familiarity.
• Git version control.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based backend applications
• Work with frameworks such as Spring / Spring Boot to build scalable services
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following coding standards
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including QA, DevOps, and UI developers
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization
• Work with relational databases to design and optimize queries
• Support application deployment and troubleshooting in lower environments
