Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Java Application Architect for a fully remote role in the United States. You will architect and develop enterprise-grade web applications and distributed systems at scale, leveraging Java, Spring, and modern front-end technologies.

This position requires 6+ years of experience, strong design and debugging skills, and collaboration with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver secure and high-performance solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
• Five or more years of professional software development experience building production-grade enterprise applications.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and end-to-end system design principles.
• Advanced working knowledge of Java (11/17), Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.
• Hands-on experience designing and operating microservices architectures with inter-service communication and observability.
• Proven experience developing front-end applications using React (Angular/Vue helpful).
• Strong SQL skills with PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server; including query tuning and schema design.
• Experience with CI/CD tooling and Git workflows; release management.
• Hands-on deploying apps to major cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade web applications and distributed systems.
• Translate business requirements into robust technical designs and production-quality code.
• Deploy cloud-native services and support them through their lifecycle.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, DevOps, and other developers in Agile.
• Deliver secure, performant applications that meet strategic business outcomes.
