micro1 is seeking a Japanese Language Expert to support a customer project focused on audio transcription and AI training. You will apply your Japanese language expertise to help train next-generation AI systems, shaping how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality input.

Qualifications

• Native-level fluency in Japanese (spoken and written)
• Experience in audio transcription, linguistic review, localization, or related language work is encouraged
• Familiarity with transcription conventions, audio review workflows, annotation tools, or speech data projects is preferred
• Keen attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to recognize subtle language, pronunciation, or context differences in audio samples
• Proficiency in English to follow project instructions and manage occasional English-language content
• Previous participation in AI training data, data annotation, or language technology projects is a plus
• Strong organizational skills and commitment to delivering high-quality, timely submissions

Responsibilities

• Transcribe Japanese audio samples accurately, capturing content, context, speaker nuances, and linguistic details
• Review, edit, and validate Japanese transcripts for completeness, clarity, and adherence to project guidelines
• Correct errors, inconsistencies, or ambiguities in machine-generated or human-created transcriptions
• Annotate audio files or transcripts with relevant metadata and contextual notes as required
• Collaborate with project managers and other experts to ensure consistency and quality across deliverables
• Use transcription tools and platforms to process and submit work according to project requirements
• Contribute linguistic and cultural insights to improve AI model understanding and performance
