Job summary

Aspire Living & Learning is seeking an IT Systems and Security Specialist I to support our cloud infrastructure, security initiatives, and IT operations from a remote location within our service area. The role requires residing in VT, CT, MD, NH, or MA and reports to the Director of IT.

The candidate will manage Microsoft Azure and 365, enforce access controls, monitor security, and assist with incident response, while developing expertise in cloud technologies and cybersecurity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, CS, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 3–5 years of progressive experience in systems, cloud, endpoint management, or cybersecurity administration.
• Strong working knowledge of cloud computing with hands‑on Azure and Microsoft 365 administration.
• Familiarity with Windows Server, Active Directory, and basic networking.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles including endpoint protection, MFA, and access control.

Responsibilities

• Assist in cloud administration of Azure and Microsoft 365; monitor performance, availability, and security.
• Support security monitoring, incident response, and governance aligned with security policies.
• Maintain identity and access management including Active Directory, Entra ID, SSO, and MFA.
• Provide system and network support; troubleshoot cloud, security, and connectivity issues.
• Assist with patch management, documentation, and compliance audits.
