Job summary

KMS Solutions, LLC seeks an IT Specialist / Web Design at its Wallops Island, Virginia location. The role supports activation, operation, and engineering of systems for Naval missions, using C#/.Net, SharePoint, Angular, Node.js, and Power Platform tools.

You will lead small agile projects, coordinate development activities, and ensure DoD compliance while managing AWS and IIS environments and maintaining strong communication across teams.

Qualifications

• BS or BA in Web Design, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• MS or MA will substitute for two years of relevant experience.
• Four years of directly related experience in web, intranet, and MS SharePoint design.
• Clear and concise communication skills.
• Extensive knowledge of programming languages including HTML, VB Script, XML, JavaScript, MS SQL, C++, C#, MS SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Lead small software development projects using agile methods to develop applications within the IIS/AWS framework, including SharePoint development.
• Plan and coordinate software development activities from requirements elicitation to schedules, design documentation, coding, testing, and user acceptance.
• Establish standard operating procedures for software development activities.
• AWS Cloud Administration: manage the AWS environment (EC2, S3, CLI, CloudWatch) and perform server admin tasks as needed.
• Optimize existing web applications and ensure compliance with DoD requirements.
• Develop applications using C# .Net, SharePoint, Angular, Node.js, JavaScript, CSS, PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI; support legacy ASP.Net apps.
