Job summary

Cognitive Medical Systems, Inc. is hiring a Manager of Corporate Information Technology to lead our internal IT function and partner with executives on strategy and growth. The role focuses on federal security compliance, healthcare data protection, and scalable technology operations.

Responsibilities include managing Azure/M365, IAM, device fleets (Mac), audits, and security programs to meet HIPAA, HITECH, FISMA, and CMMC requirements while enabling company expansion and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive IT experience, including 3–5 years in a leadership or management role.
• Experience supporting federal government contractors, preferably in healthcare agencies.
• Strong working knowledge of CMMC, NIST security frameworks, HIPAA, and federal compliance requirements.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure and/or AWS), identity management, Microsoft 365 GCC High, and endpoint security.
• Proven ability to manage audits, security assessments, and compliance reviews.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to effectively manage, develop, and lead team members, fostering strong performance, engagement, and growth.
• Experience managing and maintaining Apple MacBook device fleet.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement internal IT strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Act as IT authority and advisor to executive leadership.
• Develop IT roadmaps for security, scalability, and audit readiness.
• Oversee external service providers and vendor relationships.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, FISMA, and agency security mandates.
• Implement and maintain security controls per CMMC 2.0, NIST 800-53/171.
• Manage vulnerability, incident response, monitoring, and ongoing compliance.
• Collaborate with back‑office teams during audits and assessments.
• Own day‑to‑day IT operations including Azure, M365 GCC High, IAM, and endpoint security.
• Oversee M365 suite and Azure security tooling, Defender, Purview, and SaaS platforms.
• Maintain backups, DR, and BC plans aligned with federal healthcare requirements.
• Lead Apple device fleet management and security baselines with JamfPro.
