Job summary

Pear Suite is seeking a detail-oriented IT & Security Analyst to support IT security and compliance on a part-time basis (about 20 hours weekly). You will work with the CTO to keep systems secure, access controls tight, and our operations audit-ready in a fast-moving healthcare SaaS startup.

This role offers hands-on experience with HIPAA, HITRUST, and SOC 2 compliance, ideal for someone building a career in IT security or someone seeking flexible, ongoing part-time work in a remote environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in IT support, security, compliance, or a related role.
• MUST have SOC2 and HiTrust audit experience.
• Experience with audits, security assessments, or vendor risk programs.
• Experience managing access controls, SaaS tools, or device setup/offboarding.
• Self-starter with strong time management and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to wear multiple hats across domains and take ownership.

Responsibilities

• Security & Compliance: Support HITRUST, HIPAA, and SOC 2 compliance tasks under the CTO guidance.
• Draft and update internal security policies and documentation.
• Conduct annual risk assessments and gather evidence for audits.
• Monitor security practices and incidents; drive mitigation efforts.
