Job summary

Minnesota IT Services (MNIT) is seeking an IT Project Manager to lead complex IT initiatives in partnership with MnDOT. You will manage project lifecycle activities, including contracts, RFPs, budgeting, and risk management, ensuring alignment with PMBOK and Agile methods.

The role requires onsite presence at St. Paul, MN, with limited telework; candidates in MN or nearby states may telework up to 50% depending on residence.

Qualifications

• Experience planning, coordinating, and delivering information technology (IT) projects for complex business initiatives; including scope, budget, schedule, risk, issue, change control, reporting and stakeholder management.
• Managing the delivery of IT projects or technology initiatives using iterative, Agile, and hybrid methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively to facilitate mutual understanding.
• Customer-focused approach grounded in active listening, empathy, and solution-oriented problem-solving to deliver positive user experiences.

Responsibilities

• Manage the development, configuration and enhancement of complex IT projects and business solutions, systems, processes and services.
• Lead contracts, including IT consultant contracts, RFPs, financial tracking and invoice approvals, project initiation, planning, execution, control and closure using PMBOK and Agile practices.
• Provide project management and lead the development of large projects of medium complexity and risk in support of the Statewide enterprise and the business.
• Support business analysis and quality assurance across large projects; ensure quality and consistency across multiple projects.
