Job summary

System One is seeking an IT Applications Professional - EAM to lead the configuration, development, testing and deployment of the Octave Attune EAM platform. The role involves independent design, documentation and training materials, and collaboration with business users to ensure effective use of technology solutions.

The ideal candidate has a MIS/CS background, experience across the SDLC, and strong communication skills to interact with process owners and stakeholders throughout projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in MIS, computer science, mathematics, or other related field, or an equivalent combination of formal education and job-related experience.
• Experience with multiple development languages and/or platforms.
• Experience with software development and programming concepts/techniques.
• Experience with database management systems.
• Experience with all aspects of the software development lifecycle methodology and basic project management concepts.
• Experience with basic infrastructure concepts and how those concepts are impacted by development activities.
• Skills in: use and function of office equipment including computers and applicable software.
• Ability to: apply math, algebra, and statistical methods.
• Ability to: interact, advise and communicate effectively.
• Ability to: develop information, conduct meetings and make presentations.
• Ability to read and write fluently in English.
• Ability to: communicate and/or exchange information or instruction; conduct oral presentations and/or meetings.

Responsibilities

• Configure and customize the EAM platform through the full software development lifecycle.
• Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain software solutions with limited supervision.
• Document and train users; create system documentation and training materials.
• Manage projects and processes through the entire SDLC.
• Gather and document business requirements to determine capabilities needed.
• Consult with users on priorities, complexities and impacts of requirements.
• Provide time and cost estimates for proposed changes.
• Coordinate and communicate development activities with team members, infrastructure, vendors and management.
• Follow change control and governance standards for software development.
• Identify opportunities to deploy existing solutions in other business areas.
• Interact with business users via consulting and training for effective use of technology solutions.
• Collaborate with process owners on documentation of defects, enhancements and/or projects.
• Coach and review work of lower level professionals.
• Solve difficult, sometimes complex problems.
