Job summary

OpenKrill, on behalf of a partner company, is seeking an Intermediate Information System Security Officer in the United States. The role focuses on safeguarding cloud-based and classified information systems through RMF, FedRAMP, and NIST 800-53 controls in a fully remote setting.

You will work with senior security professionals to prepare SSPs, POA&Ms, and authorization documents, coordinate with 3PAOs and federal agencies, and guide continuous monitoring and vulnerability remediation across

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Secret clearance.
• Five+ years of professional cybersecurity experience including two years as an ISSO in cloud/DoD/IC.
• Knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 Rev 5, FedRAMP baselines, and federal compliance frameworks.
• Experience with RMF documentation and system authorization processes.
• Experience coordinating with 3PAOs and federal agencies on compliance matters.
• CompTIA Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570/8140 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support information assurance program for assigned systems ensuring policy compliance.
• Prepare and maintain RMF documentation including SSPs, SAPs, SARs, and POA&Ms.
• Assist with system authorization and reauthorization across RMF steps 1-6.
• Coordinate with 3PAOs, agencies, and customers during assessments and reviews.
• Support continuous monitoring, vulnerability tracking, and remediation reporting.
