Applied Research Solutions (ARS) is seeking an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to lead security governance for a DoD DevSecOps environment hosted on Azure. You will oversee A&A lifecycle, maintain ATO compliance, and ensure RMF/NIST 800-53 r5 and CMMC 2.0 controls are properly implemented.

The role demands strong communication with government stakeholders, auditors, and engineering teams, plus hands-on security engineering and risk management in a fast-paced cloud setting.

Qualifications

• Must be a US citizen.
• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, CS, engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of cybersecurity engineering experience.
• Must have a Secret security clearance at minimum.
• Hands-on experience with Azure security tools (Defender, Sentinel, Purview, and Azure Policy).
• Strong knowledge of DoD RMF, NIST SP 800-53 Rev. 5 controls.
• Experience implementing CMMC 2.0 or NIST SP 800-171 controls.
• Proficiency in vulnerability management and risk-based prioritization.
• Familiarity with threat intelligence platforms and adversary TTP analysis.

• Maintain relationships with ISO, AO, SCA, and other IS ISSOs.
