Trend Personnel Services is confidentially seeking an experienced paralegal to support a patent prosecution practice for a respected IP law firm. The role is remote eligible for Texas residents, with in-office options at the North Dallas office.

Candidates should have three to five years of paralegal experience in a law firm and are eligible for comprehensive patent-prosecution training. Prior IP experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of in-office law firm paralegal experience.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; professional discretion.

Responsabilités

• Assist with preparation and electronic filing of US patent applications.
• Support attorneys through the patent-prosecution process.
• Review and organize patent applications and related documents.
• Audit and manage patent portfolios for prosecution compliance.
• Monitor filing and response dates and other deadlines.
• Prepare responses to USPTO Office Actions.
• Conduct legal, factual, and procedural research as assigned.
• Assist with internal document review and analysis.
• Maintain electronic matter files and supporting documentation.
• Prepare correspondence, reports, and status updates.
• Communicate with attorneys, paralegals, clients, and staff.
• Provide general administrative and practice support to attorneys.
• Perform additional IP and patent-prosecution duties as training progresses.
