Empower Associates, LLC in Dallas, TX is seeking a dependable paralegal to support its IP attorneys and build a long-term career in a law firm setting. Prior IP experience is a plus but not required; the firm provides thorough IP practice training to develop specialized expertise.

The role involves filing and prosecuting U.S. patent applications, managing portfolios, and providing administrative support. Hybrid/remote options are available, with a compensation range of $55,000–$65,000 per year.

Formación

• 1 to 3 years of paralegal experience in a law firm setting (any practice area)
• Strong technical aptitude; formal technical training is a plus
• Proficiency with Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and juggle multiple projects
• Keen attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team-first approach

Responsabilidades

• Assist with filing and prosecuting U.S. patent applications
• Audit and manage patent portfolios, confirming applications meet patent prosecution requirements
• Help review and analyze internal documents
• Conduct research
• Track and monitor deadlinesDraft responses to office actions
• Provide general administrative support to attorneys
• Duties are not limited to the above.
