SoftClouds LLC is seeking a seasoned IoT Platform Engineer to join our enterprise-grade IoT data ingestion and analytics platform. This hands-on role focuses on building scalable, secure, real-time systems across ingestion, processing, and REST APIs.

The ideal candidate has 9+ years of software engineering experience and strong AWS expertise to drive architecture, deployment, and optimization in a distributed environment.

Qualifications

• 8-13 years of professional software engineering experience with scalable systems.
• 6+ years AWS experience building multi-service architectures.
• 5+ years in technical leadership or lead developer roles.
• 3+ years managing or mentoring engineering teams.
• 2+ years working with IoT platforms, real-time data systems, or telemetry processing.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the planning, architecture, and development of software solutions for an enterprise-grade IoT platform.
• Write high-quality code for scalable, secure systems and APIs.
• Design and implement event-driven architectures with AWS services.
• Build serverless microservices with AWS Lambda and ECS/Fargate.
• Develop RESTful APIs with API Gateway and secure auth strategies.
• Optimize performance, JVM tuning, and query optimization.
• Drive deployment, monitoring, and improvement of AI/analytics components.
• Lead code reviews and establish coding standards.
• Collaborate with product managers, solution architects, data scientists, and vendors.
• Coordinate cross-team initiatives and risk mitigation.
