Job summary

Wikimedia Foundation is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, iOS to join the App Growth team within the Core Experiences engineering group. This remote-first role supports a 3-month full-time contract and aims to grow our knowledge-based apps globally.

Responsibilities include delivering medium complexity features, building scalable iOS components, and collaborating with PMs, designers and analytics to optimize the Wikipedia mobile experience for a multilingual audience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
5+ years of professional iOS experience.

Responsibilities

Delivery of medium complexity initiatives from discovery through delivery; break into features and manage scope.
Lead design for medium-sized projects and build accessible, scalable iOS components.
Write testable, observable code and instrument features for analysts.
Collaborate with product, design, data, and native engineers to balance user needs and constraints.
Identify high-impact opportunities and align team priorities and timelines.
Follow team standards in code review, design, testing, documentation and accessibility.
