Job summary

BairesDev is seeking a Mobile Performance Engineer (iOS) to join our fully remote, globally distributed team. You will focus on optimizing startup times, memory usage and battery consumption, using Swift and Xcode Instruments to profile and improve performance.

Work with cross-functional teams to implement best practices for resource management and build robust performance testing strategies, ensuring UI responsiveness across mobile apps. Excellent English skills required.

Qualifications

4+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Mobile Development, or Performance Engineering.
Proven expertise in optimizing iOS application performance, including memory and battery consumption.
Proficiency in using Xcode Instruments for profiling and identifying performance bottlenecks.
Strong background in Swift development and iOS system internals.
Hands-on experience improving startup times and UI responsiveness for mobile applications.
Advanced proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

Analyze and optimize iOS app startup time and scrolling performance.
Monitor and reduce memory usage and battery consumption.
Identify and resolve performance regressions through deep-dive analysis of Swift code and system frameworks.
Collaborate with development teams to implement best practices for resource management and efficient coding.
Design and execute performance testing strategies to proactively catch regressions before they reach production.
