Job summary

Empower Retirement, LLC is seeking a Nonqualified Investment Operations Specialist in Overland Park, KS. The role handles day-to-day financial transactions for COLI, nonqualified plans, mutual funds, and related administration, partnering across internal departments and external parties.

You will rebalance assets, prepare reports, and serve as client contact for technical questions while supporting high-quality service and adherence to procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• 3+ years in investment operations or related field.
• State Life Insurance license or ability to obtain within 120 days.
• Advanced Excel skills with large-data handling.
• Strong communication, analytical, and detail orientation.

Responsibilities

• Process asset and liability rebalancing transactions per client directives.
• Prepare and maintain asset and liability reporting.
• Serve as day-to-day client contact for COLI and split-dollar life insurance.
• Complete daily service deliverables and client-specific operations.
• Administer complex Excel rebalancing and premium listing models.
• Use Metrix and nonqualified administration systems to support servicing.
• Escalate requests when outside service agreements.
• Perform quality-control reviews of projects and deliverables.
• Keep team informed of projects and expectations.
• Analyze issues, collect data, draw conclusions, escalate when appropriate.
