Job summary

Sweetwater Care in California seeks a board-certified or board-eligible Pulmonologist to oversee pulmonary health across our Central Valley facilities. The role is primarily remote with monthly on-site facility visits to review caseloads and guide intervention strategies.

You will diagnose and manage respiratory disorders, lead a multidisciplinary team, ensure thorough documentation, and participate in rounds to discuss outcomes.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completed residency in internal medicine and fellowship in pulmonary medicine.
• Board certification in pulmonary medicine.
• Experience with mechanical ventilation and management of patients in a subacute or critical care setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with acute and chronic respiratory diseases on mechanical ventilation.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Monitor patient progress.
• Educate patients and their families regarding respiratory health and post-discharge care.
• Participate in patient rounds and contribute to team discussions regarding care strategies and patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and treatment plans.
