Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of American Sign Language, interpreting and Deaf culture.
• Minimum BEI/RID/NIC/CDI certification preferred.
• Associate Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule ongoing sign language interpreting needs for students, faculty, and staff.
• Coordinate with CART vendor(s) to provide onsite and remote services.
• Address ad hoc requests and schedule services for programs and events.
• Schedule last-minute and substitution requests for interpreting and CART services.
• Monitor rotation of assignments among interpreters.
• Maintain scheduling databases with user-specific information and special requests.
• Arrange interpreter services for special media needs as requested.
• Be a resource to ACC students, faculty, and staff for CART and interpreting services.
• May need to work evenings and/or weekends.
