Chainlink Labs is leading the development of on-chain data and services for institutional crypto and DeFi applications. The Tax Manager role focuses on supporting global tax planning, compliance, and strategic structuring for a rapidly evolving business.

The ideal candidate will bring deep U.S. international tax expertise, comfort with ambiguity in a startup-like setting, and a proven ability to guide cross-functional teams through complex tax matters across multiple jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of U.S. international tax and global advisory/compliance experience.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. international tax rules and reporting requirements.
• Strong analytical and research capabilities.
• Able to form well-supported tax positions and document them clearly.
• Proven ability to operate independently and manage complex workstreams.
• Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience coordinating external tax advisors and managing budgets.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support global tax planning and go-to-market initiatives with practical guidance.
• Own U.S. international tax calculations and filings (GILTI, FDII, FTC, Pillar 2, BEAT).
• Prepare quarterly and annual international tax provisions; monitor changes in tax law.
• Conduct extensive tax research and document positions for reviews and audits.
• Support transfer pricing and intercompany documentation per policies.
• Collaborate with finance, legal, engineering, and operations to optimize tax positions.
• Lead multi-jurisdictional compliance and audits; manage external advisors.
• Drive process improvements and cost-effective outcomes.
