Qualifications

• Six years of field investigative or law enforcement investigative experience.
• Substitutions include an associate’s degree for two years of experience or a bachelor’s degree for four years.
• Candidates must have at least two years of field investigative or law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

• Formulate plan, process and timetables to conduct investigations within OPWDD timeframe.
• Prepare for and conduct interviews and obtain sworn statements.
• Gather, document and preserve information and evidence related to investigations.
• Write narrative reports to communicate investigation results.
• Collaborate with OPWDD staff to ensure timely investigations.
• Investigate alleged abuse, neglect and misconduct confidentially.
• Interrogate state employees under bargaining agreements.
• Make recommendations on possible violations to supervisors and staff.
• Provide testimony at arbitration hearings as needed.
