Job summary

Tennessee Connections Academy is seeking an Intermediate School Teacher to deliver daily synchronous instruction from a home-based setting in Tennessee. The role requires teaching certification for grades 4-8 and involves using telephone, internet, and curriculum tools to support students and learning coaches.

You will grade, report progress, conduct conferences, and work with parents and staff to tailor Personal Learning Plans, monitor assignments, and ensure students meet TN standards.

Qualifications

• Must be highly qualified and certified to teach grades 4-8 in Tennessee.
• Strong technology skills with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Highly organized and punctual, with reliable attendance.
• Willingness to travel for marketing and state testing events.
• Ability to work remotely and manage a home office.

Responsibilities

• Deliver daily dynamic synchronous instruction aligned to TN standards.
• Conduct assessments, grading, progress reports, and parent conferences.
• Maintain up-to-date student records and attendance.
• Collaborate with teachers, coaches, and staff to support students.
• Coordinate and participate in state testing and field trips as needed.
• Communicate regularly with parents and students to update plans.
