Job summary

NORR in Chicago is seeking an Interior Designer to develop design solutions, conduct research, and coordinate the design through all project phases. You will produce site surveys, concept designs, drawings, models, and renderings using REVIT, AutoCAD, and related software.

Qualified candidates have post-secondary education in interior design, 4–8 years of project experience, strong time management, client coordination, and familiarity with building codes.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in interior design.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Photoshop, InDesign and Microsoft Office.
• Experience in interior design and presentation; demonstrates creativity and aesthetic knowledge.
• Familiar with mechanical, electrical, and structural permits and building codes.
• Prior experience in project delivery, project management, and client management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys, feasibility studies, concept design schematics and material/furniture systems research.
• Prepare presentation boards and other presentation materials
• Prepare drawings, models and renderings, following office standards
• Attend meetings to coordinate drawings and resources, determine project criteria
• Prepare furniture procurement documents and manage delivery of furniture, fixtures and equipment
• Coordinate construction drawings in REVIT
