Job summary

WRNS Studio in New York City seeks an experienced Interior Designer to lead high-performance interiors across project phases. You will develop space plans, schematic design work, FF&E concepts, drawings, models, and detailing aligned with client goals, collaborating with the design team and vendors to ensure successful execution.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in interior design or architecture, a professional degree, and strong Revit skills with 3D rendering in Enscape, Lumion, or Rhino.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in Interior Design or Architecture.
  • Professional degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
  • Experience in medium to large-scale projects.
  • Strong background in workplace interiors and planning.
  • Expertise in Revit and proficiency in 3D rendering tools such as Enscape, Lumion, or Rhino.
  • Strong space planning skills and knowledge of systems, furniture, interior finishes and workplace standards.
  • Demonstrated progressive responsibility in all phases of interior architecture projects.
  • Leads with curiosity and is a creative problem solver with excellent communication, collaboration, planning and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with sustainable design frameworks, such as LEED, WELL, and Fitwel.
  • Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam proficiency preferred

Job description

WRNS Studio is seeking an Interior Designer for our New York City Studio.

Responsibilities
  • Design and document thoughtful, high-performance interiors across all project phases alongside the design team
  • Develop and craft space plans, schematic design work, FF&E concepts, drawings, models, images, material & mood boards, and detailing aligned with client goals
  • Collaborate closely with the design team, consultants, and vendors to ensure project execution
  • Translate strategy, brand, and culture into compelling spatial solutions
  • Convey design intent through clear visual storytelling using Revit and rendering tools
  • Participate in design control and documentation of projects in design development, construction document, and supervision phases
  • Support project budgeting, value engineering, sustainability goals, and material selection
  • Provide mentorship and direction to junior interior designers and staff, where applicable
