Job summary

Arctic Peak, an Akima company, is seeking an Interior Designer to support design/build projects across the DMV area with remote flexibility. You will lead space planning, develop test fits, and create presentations to help clients visualize concepts, coordinating with stakeholders and the federal team to ensure alignment with contract requirements.

The role requires a degree in interior design, a strong CAD and Revit portfolio, and experience in government projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in interior design; portfolio showing CAD savvy, Revit use and space planning experience.
• Mid-level experience; government project experience beneficial.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating CAD, Revit and space planning abilities.

Responsibilities

• Attend meetings with stakeholders and project managers for space planning and furniture needs.
• Develop preliminary test fits and propose plans that align with client vision.
• Create floor plans, elevations and detailed drawings using CAD and Revit.
• Coordinate with site POCs, PMs and federal team lead for implementation.
• Prepare and present design proposals using CAD/Revit and PowerPoint.
• Maintain project documentation and weekly status reports.
• Assist with budgeting and SOW preparation.
