Job summary

Upstart is seeking an Integration Engineer, Lending Partnerships, to scale our core banking and API integrations with lending partners. You will own technical onboarding, data mapping, testing, and end-to-end workflows, coordinating with product, engineering, and implementation teams.

This six-month contract-to-hire role focuses on delivering reliable production launches and scalable integrations. You’ll work with REST APIs, data mappings, middleware, and iPaaS platforms, with opportunities to

Qualifications

• 4+ years in integration engineering, solutions engineering, or similar technical role.
• Hands-on experience implementing and troubleshooting REST API integrations.
• Experience with systems integration, middleware, iPaaS platforms, or API-based implementations.
• Ability to gather technical requirements and translate workflows into integration specs.
• Experience working directly with external customers or partners and driving issues to resolution.

Responsibilities

• Own onboarding of lending partners from requirements gathering to production launch and post-launch support.
• Configure and support integrations using Workato, REST APIs, SFTP, and core banking connectors.
• Collaborate with lender tech, operations, and implementation teams to ensure launch readiness.
• Execute end-to-end workflows across account creation, loan boarding, funding, and data updates.
• Troubleshoot production issues across APIs, mappings, middleware, and lender environments.
• Improve integration scalability by streamlining workflows and standardizing processes.
