SJRC Texas Inc. is seeking an Intake Specialist for a hybrid role in Bulverde, TX. The position coordinates child/youth placements with Belong network providers and supports staff through meetings and training.

The role emphasizes adherence to HIPAA and DFPS guidelines, data entry into DFPS systems, and effective communication with partners. Must meet educational requirements and experience in child welfare; includes a 40-hour work week with on-call rotates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in child welfare or related field.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• 2+ years’ experience in child welfare.

Responsibilities

• Promote Belong mission and adhere to policies in daily work.
• Adheres to federal & state laws including HIPAA.
• Review child/youth assessment tools and update with pertinent information.
• Promote least-restrictive placement for children.
• Participate in meetings with community partners and network providers.
• Attend training related to responsibilities.
• Process and assign incoming DFPS/Belong referrals.
• Data entry into IMPACT, CareMatch, and CLASS per guidelines.
• Answer phone/email inquiries and route messages to Belong staff.
• Maintain communication through computer systems, email, and telephone while coordinating referrals.
• May attend court hearings and provide testimony regarding placement options.
• Other related duties as assigned.
